The District at Green Valley Ranch has exciting plans for Halloween this year with their new and improved event, “Monster Mash on Main.” On October 31st from 4-7 p.m., The District will come alive with Halloween fun and spookiness. Attendees can expect to meet characters like Mr. and Mrs. Dracula, Mr. and Mrs. Frankenstein, a mummy, and a werewolf roaming around.
Children will have the opportunity to go trick-or-treating at various stores in The District. Market in The Alley will be offering a range of special treats, crafts, and Halloween-themed items during the event. One of the highlights of the evening will be a costume contest with different categories for kids of various age groups, with prizes for the winners.
To add to the spooky atmosphere, fog machines will be in place for a thrilling experience. Families are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes and join in the Halloween festivities. In addition to “Monster Mash on Main,” The District will be hosting free Halloween-themed family movie nights every Saturday in October at sunset on The Green. Guests can bring their chairs and blankets for seating, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 6 p.m.
Each movie night will also feature partnerships with nonprofit organizations like Homeward Bound Cats, Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, and Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. Representatives from these organizations will be present to provide information about their work and programs. The movie lineup for October includes family favorites like “Halloweentown,” “Hocus Pocus,” “Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Corpse Bride,” “Hotel Transylvania,” and “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
