Steve Weiss, a well-known musician and stage performer in Las Vegas, is taking on the role of Stix in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey The Greatest Show On Earth. The show, which is playing at the Thomas & Mack Center for a series of performances, has returned to Las Vegas after a seven-year hiatus.

In the past, the circus faced challenges such as high operating costs and declining attendance, largely due to a shift away from animal acts in live entertainment. Ringling Bros. held its final show with animals in May 2017 and announced its return in fall 2023 without any animal performances.

Weiss, portraying the character of Stix, is one of the main performers in the show. He is joined by other talented individuals such as Aria, a female singer, Nick Nack, a comic acrobat, and Wesley the One Wheel Wonder, who sets a new world record by riding a 34-foot-high unicycle in every show.

Reflecting on his career in Las Vegas, Weiss has been a part of various shows and performances, including Recycled Percussion at the Quad Hotel, “Zumanity,” and “America’s Got Talent Presents Superstars Live.” Despite experiencing some show closures, such as “Zumanity” in 2020, Weiss remains dedicated to his craft.

The return of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey The Greatest Show On Earth emphasizes human talent, showcasing a variety of performances that cater to audiences of all ages. From never-before-seen stunts like the Triangular Highwire and the Double Wheel of Destiny to comedic acts by Nick Nack and the Equivokee Trio, the show promises to deliver entertainment and laughter.

Audiences can also expect a visually stunning stage design, extreme sports acts, acrobatics, aerial performances, and musical numbers that will keep them engaged throughout the show. Additionally, the Ringling Rocket, which launches performer Skyler Miser across the arena at high speeds, promises to leave a lasting impression on attendees.

Overall, the return of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey The Greatest Show On Earth to Las Vegas marks a celebration of human talent and entertainment, providing a diverse and engaging experience for all who attend the show. With a mix of traditional circus acts and modern twists, the show aims to captivate audiences and create lasting memories for years to come.
