The high school football state championship matchups and game times have been finalized after a three-month-long journey for 14 teams that began in the scorching August heat and will conclude under the cool fall skies.

Allegiant Stadium will be the host of four title games on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The highlight of the quadrupleheader will be the Class 5A Division I crown match between Bishop Gorman (10-1) and Arbor View (10-1) at 7 p.m. Other state title games at Allegiant include Pahranagat Valley vs. Tonopah for 1A at 9 a.m., SLAM Academy vs. Truckee for 3A at 12:20 p.m., and Canyon Springs vs. Mojave for 4A at 3:40 p.m.

The state title action kicks off in Reno on Saturday with Faith Lutheran and Bishop Manogue battling for the 5A Division II state title at 1:30 p.m. at McQueen High School. The 2A title game between Incline and Pershing County will also take place at McQueen at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Arbor View made history by advancing to their first football state title game after defeating Coronado 37-21. Coach Marlon Barnett emphasized to his team that the job is not finished yet, despite their achievement.

Arbor View has had a breakthrough season under Barnett’s leadership, defeating top programs like Liberty and Coronado to earn their spot in the title game. On the other hand, Bishop Gorman is aiming for their fourth consecutive state title and 15th since 2007.

The Gaels showcased their offensive prowess in a 49-3 victory over Liberty, led by quarterback Maika Eugenio’s 306 passing yards. Despite the challenge of a shorter layoff this year, Gorman remains a strong contender for the championship.

Looking ahead to the title games, Faith Lutheran will face Manogue in a rematch of last year’s 5A Division II title game, where Manogue emerged victorious. Centennial will battle Galena for the 5A Division III title, while Mojave and Canyon Springs will compete for their first-ever 4A state titles.

In the 3A division, SLAM Academy will seek redemption against Truckee, who have been dominant with 34 consecutive wins. The Bulls have shown resilience after a slow start to the season and are eager to claim the title.

As the state championship week approaches, fans can expect thrilling matchups and intense competition as teams vie for the ultimate prize in high school football. Stay tuned for more exciting action on the gridiron!
