We have our first accident reported leading into F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. But the individual involved says he will be able to make his Friday night appearance on the Strip. Jay Leno, the longtime “Tonight Show” host, was banged up Friday night in a tumble before a show at Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The 74-year-old comic suffered an array of bumps and bruises.
Despite the mishap, Leno is still set to host a charity event Friday night at Wynn Las Vegas, honoring Sylvester and Jennifer Stallone at the Las Vegas debut of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS gala. Leno will be the event’s celeb host, with Diana Ross headlining the night.
The Stallones will be receiving the organization’s Award of Inspiration. AmfAR, founded in 1985, has raised over $900 million to support AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and advocacy. Past recipients of the award include Richard Gere, Ava DuVernay, Cher, Miley Cyrus, and Charlize Theron.
This isn’t the first time Leno has faced injuries. Early last year, he crashed his motorcycle, suffering a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, and two fractured kneecaps. Despite these incidents, Leno continues to stay busy with his various projects and appearances.
Leno is also part of the updated “Aces of Comedy” series, which will be moving to the David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand next year. The show, which ran for over a decade at The Mirage Theater, features other stars like Howie Mandel, Arsenio Hall, Ray Romano, and Tim Allen.
Howie Mandel, known for his role as a judge on “America’s Got Talent,” will be performing at the series alongside Arsenio Hall, who recently released a Netflix special titled “Smart & Classy.”
Ray Romano, famous for his role in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” will also be part of the lineup, showcasing his stand-up comedy skills. Tim Allen, known for his roles in “Home Improvement” and the “Toy Story” franchise, will be headlining the series as well.
Despite his injuries and mishaps, Jay Leno continues to entertain audiences with his comedy and hosting gigs. His resilience and dedication to his craft are evident in his packed schedule and numerous projects. Fans can catch him at various events and shows, showcasing his talent and passion for entertainment.
