Las Vegas is gearing up to host two exciting food and drink festivals that promise to delight locals and visitors alike. The first festival, ComplexCon, will take place on November 16 and 17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This event is a convergence of art, music, streetwear, and food, featuring about two dozen local and out-of-town restaurants. Some of the Vegas spots participating include Big B’s Texas BBQ, Lotus of Siam, and Sorry Not Sorry Creamery. Out-of-town entries include African Chop House and Trill Burgers from Houston, among others.
Food influencer Keith Lee will also be showcasing some of his Vegas picks at the festival. Tickets and more information can be found on the Family Style Festival website and the ComplexCon website.
The second festival, Neon City Festival, will run from November 22 to 24 at various locations downtown. This event will feature a variety of musical acts, art installations, and culinary offerings. The Fremont Street Experience will have vendors offering beef sliders, empanadas, sundaes, tacos, and hibachi dishes. Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will feature purveyors like Chi Asian Kitchen, Custom Pizza Truck, and SoCal Churro cart.
In addition to these festivals, the Las Vegas Pizza Festival is set to return to The Industrial Event Space on November 16. Attendees can enjoy unlimited samples of pizzas from the city’s top pizzerias. Tickets are available for purchase on the festival website.
Local residents can also take advantage of a special offer at Sushi Roku in the Forum Shops at Caesars, where they can receive 50 percent off menu items from November 11 to 14 with proof of residence. The menu features a variety of Japanese dishes, including sashimi, sushi rolls, and ramen.
For those looking for a unique dining experience, Ciao Vino will be hosting a five-course dinner featuring Italian wines on November 12. The menu will include dishes like manchego sformto and braised short rib paired with different wines. Reservations can be made on the restaurant’s website.
On November 14, Gaetano’s Ristorante in Henderson will celebrate owner Nick Palmeri’s 41st birthday with a five-course dinner featuring wines from Peju Winery. The menu will include dishes like lamb chops with green peppercorn sauce paired with wines presented by Lisa Peju. Reservations can be made through OpenTable.
In other food news, China Fresh Tea is now offering cartoon-themed cotton candy in more than 10 designs at their shop on S. Jones Blvd. Characters like Kirby, Patrick Star, and Hello Kitty are featured, with new designs introduced frequently. The shop is open Fridays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
Ocean Prime, located atop 63 CityCenter, offers a prime viewing spot for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix from its terrace overlooking the race. The restaurant will have special offerings on November 21 and 22 for tables on the terrace, with food and beverage credits included. On November 23, Ocean Prime will offer its full menu and specials on the terrace.
Lastly, Chef Nicole Brisson has launched Bistecca di Brisson, her line of dry-aged steaks available for pickup at Brezza in Resorts World. Steaks like the 16-ounce New York strip aged 100 days and the 42-ounce tomahawk aged 120 days can be ordered online.
