Over the weekend, downtown Las Vegas was transformed into a hub of excitement and entertainment as the Neon City Festival took place, drawing in a crowd of 180,000 visitors. The festival was created as an alternative event during the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, attracting tourists from all over who were in town for the F1 event. This unique collision of cultures brought a vibrant energy to the Fremont Street Experience, with tourists sporting their favorite F1 team apparel and exploring the various stages and activities set up throughout downtown.

The festival featured performances by top artists such as Alison Wonderland, Seven Lions, TroyBoi, Russell Dickerson, the All-American Rejects, and Neon Trees, offering a diverse range of musical experiences for attendees to enjoy. In addition to the music, attendees were treated to Vegas food and beverage offerings, art installations by Area15, and a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the night sky.

Organized by Neon City Festival CEO Jeff Victor and supported by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the event was a huge success, surpassing expectations and bringing much-needed business to downtown hotels and businesses. Victor noted that the festival not only helped boost weekend business to normal levels but also exceeded those levels, with Circa’s departments seeing an increase in business of up to 35 percent over the previous year.

Looking ahead, organizers have expressed their intention to make the Neon City Festival an ongoing event, running alongside future F1 races held in Las Vegas. By offering a diverse range of entertainment and activities, the festival aims to continue drawing in large crowds and filling the city with energy and excitement.

In addition to the festival highlights, attendees had the opportunity to explore pop-up shops featuring local artists and artisans, sample culinary delights from a variety of vendors, and enjoy daily fireworks displays that added to the festive atmosphere. With so much to see and do, the Neon City Festival proved to be a vibrant and successful event that brought together music, art, food, and fun in the heart of Las Vegas.
