Sammy Hagar, the legendary rock star, is getting ready to rock the Las Vegas Strip with his upcoming residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The “Best of Both Worlds Las Vegas Residency” will feature Hagar’s all-star band, including original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, and powerhouse drummer Kenny Aronoff.

During the nine-date residency from April 30 to May 17, fans can expect to hear a mix of Van Halen classics, Hagar solo hits, as well as songs from Montrose and Chickenfoot. Hagar and Satriani have even co-written a new song titled “Thank You,” which they plan to close the show with every night as a tribute to Eddie Van Halen and the fans.

Hagar, who turned 77, is excited to bring his music back to the Strip after a successful tour across the U.S. and abroad. The residency allows him to perform for fans from around the world without the need for extensive travel. It’s a way for him to focus on his body, voice, and band while delivering unforgettable performances to the Las Vegas audience.

The rock icon is also looking to reconnect with his past as Van Halen’s frontman, especially since the band has been dismissive of his contributions. Despite the differences, Hagar remains open-hearted and has extended an invitation to the surviving Van Halen members to join him on stage during the revival.

In addition to his residency, Hagar will be playing the halftime show at the Raiders-Broncos game at Allegiant Stadium, marking his second appearance at a Raiders game. He recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops and received the Key to the Las Vegas Strip from his loyal fans.

Although his plans for Sammy’s Island at the Palms have faced setbacks, Hagar remains optimistic about his future ventures in Las Vegas. He has signed a five-year extension for Cabo Wabo Cantina and hopes to bring his Cabo Wabo Resort and beach club concept to the city.

With his upcoming residency, halftime show performance, and long-term plans for Las Vegas, Hagar continues to leave his mark on the entertainment scene in Sin City. Fans can expect an unforgettable experience filled with rock ‘n’ roll, nostalgia, and the timeless music of Sammy Hagar.
