Sammy Hagar, the rock legend known as the Red Rocker, has some big plans for Las Vegas. While celebrating the 15th anniversary of his Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, Hagar revealed his ambitious idea of developing a Las Vegas hotel-casino called the Cabo Wabo Resort and Casino.

This concept has been brewing in Hagar’s mind for over a year and includes a high-end Cabo Wabo Steakhouse, themed bars, a spa, authentic Mexican food carts, and a Cabo Wabo-branded nightclub for live music. Hagar expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that he has potential investors lined up and is eager to make it happen.

During the celebration, Hagar was honored with a Key to the Las Vegas Strip, solidifying his ties to the city. The event, attended by hundreds of Hagar’s fans, known as Redheads, showcased the strong support for the proposed resort.

Aside from his Vegas plans, Hagar has been keeping busy with his recent “Best of All Worlds” tour, where he mixed his classic hits with Van Halen favorites. The tour featured rock superstar Joe Satriani on guitar, creating a high-energy experience for fans.

Despite his busy schedule, Hagar remains open to reconnecting with his former Van Halen bandmates. While he hasn’t heard from drummer Alex Van Halen, who is set to release his autobiography soon, Hagar harbors no ill will and still considers him a friend.

In addition to his music career, Hagar is also a business partner with fellow rocker Rick Springfield in the Sammy’s Beach Bar cocktail brand. The two have a long-standing friendship and business relationship, further solidifying Hagar’s presence in the entertainment industry.

As Hagar continues to make waves in the music scene, fans can expect more exciting projects and collaborations from the legendary Red Rocker. Stay tuned for updates on the development of the Cabo Wabo Resort and Casino and Hagar’s upcoming musical ventures.
