Mesquite Gaming, the operator of CasaBlanca Resort & Casino and Virgin River Hotel & Casino, recently announced the appointment of Andy Falkof as their new vice president of marketing and advertising. With over 20 years of experience in the resort and casino marketing industry, Falkof’s expertise is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Mesquite Gaming’s properties.
In a statement, Mesquite Gaming CEO Justin Moore praised Falkof’s extensive background in both national and international marketing. He expressed confidence in Falkof’s ability to align with the company’s goals and objectives, emphasizing his strategic approach to achieving success in the competitive gaming market.
Falkof’s impressive career in the gaming industry includes roles at prominent establishments such as Caesars Entertainment, Sands China, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, and Great Canadian Entertainment. Most recently, he served as the vice president of marketing for Rivers Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His diverse experience positions him well to drive Mesquite Gaming’s marketing efforts and lead the properties through a phase of renovation and rebranding.
As the new VP of marketing, Falkof will be tasked with developing innovative programs and campaigns to boost gaming and non-gaming revenue at CasaBlanca Resort & Casino and Virgin River Hotel & Casino. His strategic vision will be crucial in enhancing the properties’ competitiveness and attracting a broader audience of visitors.

The William S. Boyd School of Law recently recognized the exceptional contributions of two esteemed faculty members by appointing them to named professorships. John Valery White was named the E.L. Cord Professor of Law, while Ruben J. Garcia was appointed the Ralph Denton Professor of Law.

Garcia’s scholarly work in employment law and constitutional law has garnered widespread acclaim, with his research appearing in prestigious law reviews and publications. His recent book, “Critical Wage Theory: Why Wage Justice is Race Justice,” further underscores his commitment to social justice issues. The Ralph Denton Professorship, endowed by the Joy McCann Foundation in honor of attorney Ralph Denton, acknowledges Garcia’s significant impact on legal scholarship and advocacy.

Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS), a leading stay-in-school organization serving 118 schools across the state, recently welcomed Brittany Noble as human resources generalist and Tasia Wilson as full-service community schools manager.
